GeoPinpoint has been engineered to maximize geocoding-hit rate, and provides the user with a friendly point and click environment, customized input and output options, and most importantly standardized data for geospatial analysis.
Geocoding or "Geo Enabling" is a powerful GIS tool, which enables users to attach geographic coordinates to records in a database by means of matching certain fields in the database against existing geo-reference databases. Geo-reference databases are made up of digital street geometry, address ranges, postal coordinates, and other point-location coordinates.
GeoPinpoint is ideal for geocoding large datasets that span North American geographic boundaries. Once GeoPinpoint has completed attaching geographic coordinates to your database, users may transfer the data into Geographic Information Systems such as MapInfo, ArcView, GeoMedia, AutoCad Map, or any other system that supports the importation of point locations.
